Who will Reign Supreme in the Competition of Summer Blockbusters?

This is going to be a great summer for movies. Blockbusters like the new Harry Potter Film and the new Twilight Saga film are destined to bring in huge crowds.

The Twilight film Eclipse will be playing in theaters along side the new Harry Potter film known as The Deathly Hallows Part 1, there was so much in this book that they have decided to turn into two seperate films. I guess that means The Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be gracing us with it's presence next summer along side the Twilight film Breaking Dawn.

Another fantastic film scheduled to premier in the next few weeks is M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender.

Obviously every one of these movies is going to rake in some dough. If you asked me which I thought would be the biggest blockbuster smash hit of the summer I have to go with Eclipse hands down. This isn't because I think it will be the best movie, it's just logic.

I am a huge fan of the Twilight books as well as the Harry Potter books. I haven't missed a movie yet nor I have I left a book unfinished.

Speaking merely from a film perspective I think the Harry Potter films are lightyears better than the hokey Twilight adaptations, but the last Harry Potter film left something to be desired and a lot of the fanbase has moved on to bigger and better things. The film series has stretched on for nearly a decade, losing a lot of it's excitement along the way. The Twilight films are still new. As for The Last Airbender, I think it will attract a moderate cult following and very little else. Shyamalan's last few films have failed to impress and most mainstream viewer's aren't interested in a cartoon adaptation.
