‘Little’ change in top-10 charts
With no new movies last week, American audiences spent the first week of 2011 catching up on the previous week's releases, as the box office round-up of the past weekend revealed.
As the top ten charts remained almost the same, producers of new movies Little Fockers, True Grit and Tron Legacy were a happy lot. For the second week in a row, these flicks retained their top three spots. The Fockers banked 26.3 million bucks with a close second in True Grit, $24.5 million. Tron Legacy was third with $18.3 million. Yogi Bear and The Chronicles of Narnia: TVOTDT, last week's fifth and fourth new movies interchanged positions. Other new movies in top ten were Tangled, The Fighter, Gulliver's Travels, Black Swan and The Tourist. The coming week too will see a weak list of new movies.
